CENTRE PHILOSOPHY
Dorothy Carlton Preschool is committeed to provide a quality learning environment based on the National and Victorian Early Learning Frameworks.
The staff continually develop appropriate skills and knowledge and in turn encourage others they connect with. We support and enhance a learning by promoting exploration in a stimulating and natural environment.
Planning for the indoor and outdoor learning, the child/teacher initiated programme strives for positivie involvement.
The programme is responsive to the needs of the child and the community. It is a reflective process considering postive outcomes for all children.
Respecting the individuality of all children and families, and from each other we learn together to build a strong sense of worth, respect and community.
We encourage the children to be confident, inquiring, considerate and enthusiastic learners, excited in the anticipation for what their future holds.
The children will be provided with the best foundations for learning for now and the rest of their lives.
The centre acknowledges the land it occupies belongs to the Kulin Nation people and we will respectfully care for it.
