North Sunshine Kindergarten offers two 4 year old groups.
2011 Session Times:
4 year old kindergarten – 11 hours per week

2011 Term Fees: $170 per term
BPA Children’s Services sets annual fees based on the shortfall between Government funding and the operating costs of the centre.
Fee Subsidy for Low Income Families:
As per State Government Policy, Concession Card Holders are entitled to 10.75 hrs per week of free kindergarten in the four year old program only. The concession card must be sighted by a member of BPA Children’s Services staff when requested. Failure to show a valid concession card will result in full fees being charged. There is no subsidy for three year old programs.
CENTRE PHILOSOPHY
At North Sunshine Kindergarten our aims are to provide children with an environment:
- That provides a holistic, play based program based on current theory and research that is stimulating open ended and ever changing and evolving.
- That supports children’s social and emotional development in an attempt to promote a positive self esteem, an ability to form relationships with peers and adults, to share, turn take, negotiate and resolve conflict.
- That values every child’s unique family story and supports children from all backgrounds.
- That strongly encourages family to maintain their first language and to take pride in their culture.
- That believes in the importance of the natural environment in the lives of children ands offers indoor/outdoor programming giving children the space and freedom to explore and learn.
- That supports and integrates children and with additional needs.
That understands the importance of early intervention for children who have additional needs and works closely with support services to help access support for these children and their families.
Enrolment:
Four Year Old Kindergarten
To be eligible for four year old kindergarten a child must turn four years of age on or before 30th of April in the year of attendance.
To enrol your child in 4 year old kindergarten, please collect a form from the kindergarten or Brimbank City Council who runs the Central Enrolment system.
