Dorothy Carlton Preschool offers two 4 year old groups and one 3 year old group.

At Dorothy Carlton Preschool the staff work towards a holistic approach to the children’s programme. The room is divided to a variety of interest areas, enabling children to make choices where to work. Consideration is given to presentation of activities to heighten all senses and a strong commitment to the use of natural materials both inside and out.

In play situations the children are encouraged to be independent, to work with others and to explore and challenge their environment.

Our outdoor area promotes a sense of calmness and adventure in the varying play spaces. A strong emphasis is placed on the natural environment and the children are encouraged to care for their place.

We ask for a commitment from parents to support the progamme when your child is attending by visiting the Centre during the year. This enables the Teacher to discuss the educational outcomes for your child.
At the end of the year, we want the children excited in the anticipation for what school holds. To be confident, inquiring, considerate, and enthusiastic learners. We want to give the children the best foundations for learning for the rest of their lives
