Epalock Crescent Kindergarten offers a 4 year old program and 3 year old program

As an Early Childhood Centre we are committed to providing the very best for young children and to making the most of their time within the centre.

We believe that an Early Childhood Centre should be a place where :

• Children can work at developmentally appropriate tasks so that they will feel a sense of satisfaction and their efforts of doing and thinking will always be valued
• Children’s thinking and talking about their ideas is valued as much as the products of their actions, which can be seen.
• Children use materials as tools in posing and solving problems and have the freedom to explore them in a safe and stimulating environment.
• The environment is helpful and caring, enabling children to develop self-confidence where they will be supported in their problem solving, while learning to appreciate their strengths and weaknesses.
• The role of the teacher is a facilitator, at times questioning, talking, following, leading, guiding and extending the children as the occasion demands.
• Child’s parents can feel comfortable to ask questions, watch or participate in their child’s learning and gain an appreciation of their development.
