Centre Philosophy

Our centre welcomes cultural diversity and all families are encouraged to share their knowledge, cultural background and heritage to incorporate within our curriculum. Communication between educators, families and the community is respected and valued, while maintaining confidentiality and respect. Families and early childhood education is the foundation for lifelong learning. We believe children and their families are a part of and contribute to the wider community. Social interaction and exposure to different cultures scaffold children’s knowledge and development. Each family knows their child best, and educators will work in partnership with families to ensure the best learning outcomes for their children. Children should feel safe, secure and supported, have a strong sense of identity, in a fun educational environment. Our strong partnerships with our families is what scaffolds our children’s learning.

We provide children with opportunities to extend their learning through exploratory play. Children’s self-help skills are encouraged and independence is broadly supported in our curriculum. Educators at the centre are dedicated professionals, our educational program adheres to the guidelines set by ACEQA, The National Quality Framework and the Early Years Learning Framework. We take pride in our work, always striving for optimum care and dedication for our children. Our programs are emergent and we provide a reflective play based curriculum supporting children’s interests, learning and developmental needs. A program that also substantially provides opportunities for children to participate in independent spontaneous play as part of their everyday learning and development. Children are encouraged and supported to participate in their own learning, at their own pace and in their own individual way, through different mediums to achieve their individual goals.

Our menus here at the centre are fully planned and prepared by our wonderful qualified chef. Our menus are reflective of the cultural diversity that we so proudly share at our service. We also provide meals that are respectful of preference, allergies and intolerances of our children. All our food provided is freshly prepared and cooked daily on our premises, our menus align with guidelines and recommendations from Nutrition Australia.
